Database engagement model
How AdvanceGrid scopes database design and optimization projects from discovery through implementation support.
Custom path from discovery to stable queries
This page explains how we scope database design and optimization work—not a product catalog. Every engagement is a consulting project with defined deliverables and written assumptions.
1. Discovery call (no code changes)
We confirm drivers: new feature launch, acquisition integration, or chronic slowdowns. You share stack versions, hosting region, and compliance constraints (for example, data residency within Taiwan or hybrid cloud). We agree on access boundaries—read-only replicas, sanitized dumps, or paired screen shares.
2. Diagnostic sprint
Time-boxed analysis produces a written findings memo: schema hotspots, missing or redundant indexes, statistics health, and operational risks (backup duration, log growth). The memo cites reproducible queries and includes recommended next steps ranked by effort.
3. Design or remediation project
Depending on findings, we either deliver a target schema with migration phases or execute agreed optimizations alongside your team. Each phase lists validation queries and rollback triggers. We favor incremental releases over big-bang cutovers unless downtime windows are already contracted.
4. Knowledge transfer
Workshops at our Xinzhuang office or remote sessions cover how to keep plans stable after we leave: statistics maintenance, index hygiene, and when to revisit partitioning. Documentation is written for maintainers, not for slide decks.
What we do not sell
There are no subscription tiers, canned “health check” SKUs, or anonymous chat support on this site. If you need ongoing DBA coverage, we can discuss retainer terms separately after a completed project.
